Rajanganaya Reservoir invaded by a bacteria

In Local
The area residents claim that water in the Rajanganaya Reservoir has turned dark green and an unbearable odour is emanating from the water.
The senior lecturer of the Department of Biological Sciences at Rajarata University, Dr. Wasantha Sena Welianga said that the dark green colour change was a result of a reaction of a bacteria species.
He said the bacteria species could be over two billion years old.
