No final decision to increase milk powder & domestic gas prices – Ministry of Industry & Commerce

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce says no final decision has been taken to upwardly revise the prices of milk powder and domestic gas.
The matter was discussed at a meeting held at the Ministry yesterday (Mar. 27), but no decision was taken, a high ranking official said.
Recently, the Committee on Cost of Living ratified a request by the milk powder companies to increase the price of a kilo of milk powder by Rs. 80.
Accordingly, the price of a 400g milk powder packet will be increased by Rs. 35.
